磨料磨具
砂轮与涂附磨具是耗材，但安全测试是硬门槛：切割片与磨片必须按 EN 12413 等标准做最高转速与爆破试验并印在片体上。价差来自磨料（棕刚玉A、锆刚玉Zr、碳化硅SiC、CBN/金刚石）、树脂体系和基布层数，而不是片子颜色。

Which abrasive should I buy for stainless steel fabrication?
Use a zirconia-alumina (ZA) or ceramic grain wheel and specify iron-free / low-S content for stainless so you do not cause surface contamination rust. Pair it with the correct hardness grade and the max RPM printed on the disc.
Is a cheap cutting disc actually more expensive?
Usually yes: thinner reinforcement and lower-quality resin cut faster but burst earlier and increase downtime and injury exposure. Compare discs by cut-count per unit, printed max RPM and the EN 12413 / ANSI test evidence, not by unit price.
