Why does fence mesh swing in price so much between weeks?
Because mesh is a wire-weight product: the quotation tracks hot-rolled wire rod price plus processing fee. Ask for the price split into wire tonnage, galvanising and welding so you can re-price without a new quote when steel moves.
Hot-dip galvanised or PVC-coated mesh for outdoor fencing?
HDG alone suits dry to moderately humid sites; HDG plus PVC sheath is the choice for coastal, animal-husbandry and high-UV sites, where the sheath also protects against mechanical damage. Specify the galvanising grams per m² and the sheath thickness rather than only the colour.
